Six short DV dramas made by KBS Productions for Clapperboard uk ltd 2007
These shorts sponsored by the Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue service have just been completed after an intensive 6 months.
Writers worked with 6 groups of 13-15 year old pupils from 6 Salford schools to develop scripts. All of them take different fire safety issues as their theme. Film-makers John Crumpton and Louis Loizou of KBS then delivered practical workshop sessions on DV skills to the young people. Eventually this led to 2 days shooting with each school to create some memorable movies showcasing Salford’s young talent both in front of and behind the camera.
